The long-awaited sequel of Classroom of the Elite anime TV series is finally scheduled to premiere on AT-X TV Network at 9 PM JST (8 AM EST) on July 4, 2022. A key visual was also released along with this announcement.
The sequel was first announced in February and a trailer PV was released in March at a special live stream on the Kadokawa Anime Youtube channel. Not only did the trailer announce a July premiere for the second season, but it also announced that the Classroom of the Elite Season 3 release date will be in 2023!
It was also confirmed that the anime will adapt the original story’s complete first-year-student arc. Crunchyroll will be streaming the second season as part of its Summer 2022 lineup.

Yoshihito Nishouji, best known for directing Seven Senses of the Re’Union, is directing the sequel at Studio Lerche. Season 1 directors Seiji Kishi and Iroyuki Hashimoto are returning as chief directors for the second season.
Hayato Kazano is in charge of the series composition after doing episode scripts for the first season. Kazuaki Morita is back designing the characters for the second season. Ryou Takahashi and Kana Hashiguchi are composing the music.
After singing the OP song for Classroom of the Elite Season 1 titled “Caste Room”, ZAQ is back for the OP song of the sequel titled Dance In The Game. Release date- July 13, 2022.
Mai Fuchigami is singing the ED song for the season titled “Human Theater”. Release date – July 27, 2022.

Classroom of the Elite is a light novel series written by Shogo Kinugasa and illustrated by Shunsaku Tomose. It was published by Kadokawa from May 2015 to September 2019 with 11 main volumes and 3 short stories.
In 2020, a sequel light novel series titled Classroom of the Elite: Year 2 was released. 6 volumes for the same have been released till now.
Both these series have received a manga adaptation. Seven Seas Entertainment has licensed the light novel series and the manga adaptation in English. It describes the story as:
