Detective Conan: The Culprit Hanzawa Netflix release date set for Fall 2022

The Detective Conan: The Culprit Hanzawa release date on Netflix has been confirmed for October 2022, during the Fall 2022 anime season. The Netflix streaming platform will exclusively broadcast this anime worldwide.

The release time frame for the upcoming anime was announced by the official website of Detective Conan: The Culprit Hanzawa anime on June 14, 2022.

Alongside the release date, the anime’s official website also revealed other exciting details, such as the main staff of the upcoming anime. 

TMS/Studio 1 is in charge of the show’s production. Detective Conan: The Culprit Hanzawa will have Akitaro Daichi (DD Fist of the North Star) as the chief director. Akemi Sasaki, who has been on many Detective Conan projects, including the original Cased Close anime, is the director of photography. At the time of writing, no cast members had been confirmed.

Mayuko Kanba’s ongoing Detective Conan: The Culprit Hanzawa manga debuted in Shogakukan’s Shonen Sunday S in May 2017 and has now delivered six volumes of content. The plot follows the daily exploits of the titular criminal, Hanzawa-san. He is a character who resembles the silhouetted figures used to portray unnamed criminals in the main Detective Conan series. Hanzawa relocates to the fictional Beika city to assassinate a man with whom he has a vendetta.

For now, there isn’t any information on the cast details.

The Culprit Hanzawa isn’t the only spinoff set to arrive on Netflix shortly; Detective Conan: Zero’s Tea Time will be available in July 2022. Zero’s Tea Time, produced by TMS Entertainment (Lupin the Third Part 6), starring Toru Furuya (Dragon Ball Super) as undercover detective Rei Furuya. The animation is directed by Tomochi Kosaka (Dr. Stone), and the narrative is written by Yoshiko Nakamura (Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle).

The Bride of Halloween, the latest film in the Detective Conan franchise, had its theatrical debut in Japan on April 15. Yugo Kanno rearranged the legendary Detective Conan theme tune for the film. Yugo Kanno, the composer, highlighted the pressures of changing the music, saying, “To avoid disappointing everyone, I arranged it with the utmost regard for the original. I made adjustments after obtaining advice from Katsuo Ohno-sensei (the theme’s original composer) and received the OK, which pleased me as if I had received official approval.”

The Detective Conan franchise began in 1994 when Gosho Aoyama started publishing his Cased Closed manga in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday. The series has since become one of the best-selling manga of all time. The plot revolves around a great investigator turned into a child after being abducted by a crime gang and forced to consume an unknown drug.
