Haruka was destroyed by Albert’s swimming, the “Odin of the Swim World,” after his first world tournament, and therefore lost his confidence. He was asked, “Why do you swim?” He was questioned about his relationship with the water and his role in the swimming world.
Haruka descends into the gloom on his own, unable to find an explanation. Haruka picks a challenging special training exercise, committing himself totally to practice, motivated by a severe desire.
He is aware that he is overworking both his mind and body. His friends must trust in him and therefore have no option but to keep an eye on him.
Albert’s cruel and cold personality returns to him. “I’ve got to be quicker and stronger.”
He must confront Albert one more. The final stroke pierces the thick, frigid water. Friendship is strong.
