Irregular Choice X Pokemon shoes, boots, pants, and more launched for anime collaboration collection

The Irregular Choice X Pokemon shoes collaboration appears to be a match made in Heaven, or rather The Pokeverse. The collection launched this past Friday, April 29, 2022, and some items are already sold out, so make sure you visit the official e-commerce website as soon as possible. Make sure to continue reading so that you can see my top picks in case you’re on the fence about which shoes you should buy.

The creative duo brings a whole new line of quirky Pokemon-themed footwear, bags, and tights to the world of fashion. This is the first partnership between the London-based fashion label and the hit Nintendo game series, as well as the beloved anime adaptation. The chunky, platform-style boots and heels seem to be their biggest hit and are selling out fast.

My top pick are the Shock Walk Pikachu-themed boots. These are a must-have for any Pikachu fan. The glitzy black boots feature yellow and gold lightning bolts, sparkly glitter, and a large, cutout, appliqué of Pikachu jumping on the side of the boot. The heel is a striking patent red reminiscent of the famed Christian Louboutins. Motion-sensitive non rechargeable LED lights surround Pikachu so the lights will flash as you walk.

My second pick is the Pokemon Beach Day Boots featuring first-generation Pokemon such as Jigglypuff, Squirtle, Charmander, Bulbasaur, Butterfree, Krabby, Vaporeon, Dragonite, Lapras, Dewgong, Magikarp, Pidgeot, Gyarados, Cubone, and Slowpoke. There’s even a 3D Pikachu clutching the back of the shoe’s heel! The design features an outdoor scene set in a forest area filled with Pokemon waiting to be captured in Pokeballs, a cheery rainbow sky, and some intricate beading and sequins in emerald green.

My third pick is the show-stopping Journey On wedge heels. The heels are actually a see-through capsule habitat that contains a 3D captured Pokemon. The design on the shoe resembles a “Pokemon forest” with grass, flowers, mountains and a sky.

My fourth pick is the chunky Day and Night boots. These are for the Eevee lovers. Espeon and Umbreon cutouts are on the side of each boot, the main design features a cute polka dot print, and Sylveon and Eevee can be found in hearts on each toe.

Irregular Choice is a fashion company located in London, England. The label was created two years after Pokemon’s release year and is well known for its whimsical designs and brightly colored shoes, handbags, and jewelry. Perhaps, some of its designs were already inspired by Pokemon and their vivid coloring? Previous collaborations include Hello Kitty (Sanrio, Japan) and Care Bears. Irregular Choice aims to create products that have a playful and dreamy feel to them. Pokemon seems to be the perfect fit for Irregular Choice as can be seen in this vibrant collection.

Pokemon players and anime fans will be in for a real treat with this myriad of accessories filled with their favorite pocket monsters. I concentrated mostly on the shoes, but the matching bags and cute stockings are worth pursuing as well.

Before you go, allow me to show you the adorable Pikachu-themed purse that will go perfectly with those boots!

A leaked photo of a possible Sailor Moon X Vans collaboration has been shared on Twitter. Anime Geek will keep you updated on whether or not this collaboration is real.
