Joen animation company by WIT STUDIO, CloverWorks, Aniplex, and Shueisha intends to share the wealth

If you’ve been an anime fan for any length of time, then odds are you know the names in the title. Especially if you watch Spy x Family, Attack on Titan, Naruto, and Demon Slayer.

These four companies are giants in the anime industry, and they’re working together to change things in a big way. Everyone hopes that they will succeed because, without animators, you don’t have anime.

Because without directors, scriptwriters, character designers, musicians, CGI artists, and so much more, you don’t have anime. Some projects can be done with one person.

Video games have shown us that it’s possible, but one person does not do most anime. If you look up your favorite anime, you’ll find there’s a production company, animation studio/s, and more.

It’s safe to assume that your favorite anime is only possible due to an army of people. But in most companies, those people are not being paid enough for their work.

WIT STUDIO, CloverWorks, Aniplex, and Shueisha are trying to change that with their new company Joen.

Joen is a creative company that offers everything from planning to production. CloverWorks and WIT STUDIO will be a part of every step in the production process.

Every anime they work on will be of the highest quality and collaborate with other studios, producers, and creators, distributing profits fairly for everyone involved.

Joen will match the best production lines and creators for each project and offer financial aid and a comfortable work environment. In addition, Joen strives to support the animation industry by taking a supporting role and letting those in planning, production, and distribution take center stage.

Yuichi Fukushima and Tetsuya Nakatake are the Joen company representative directors.

Aniplex was founded in 1995 and is owned by Sony Music Entertainment Japan. They’ve worked on Fullmetal Alchemist, Sword Art Online, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Fate, the Monogatari series, Angel Beats!, The Promised Neverland, Rurouni Kenshin, and more.

Shueisha was founded in 1925 as the entertainment-related publishing division of Shogakukan but went dependent in 1926. All manga magazines Shueisha publishes have Jump in their titles, such as Weekly Shoen Jump, Jump SQ, V Jump, Weekly Young Jump, Grand Jump, and Ultra Jump.

They own Viz Media with Shogakuan.
