Although the film was released in theaters and is now accessible to view on Crunchyroll. Owning the DVD is still a huge thing for fans.

My Hero Academia has officially established a release date for the Mission film on Blu-ray and DVD for fans in the United States! Last year was a banner year for Kohei Horikoshi’s iconic manga franchise, with both the fifth season of the series and the release of its third feature movie in theaters across the world.

This new film presented Izuku Midoriya and the others with a new type of global assignment. This time, they faced deadly challenges with many other prominent pro heroes from across the world.

World Heroes’ Mission was announced by Studio Bones in November 2020. It was officially released theatrically in Japan in August 2021.

The franchise’s third feature film enjoyed a great run in international regions. Although, fans who missed it in theaters have been begging for a home video release. After Funimation released the film in cinemas, Crunchyroll revealed that the movie will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on August 23rd.

The versions released by Walmart and Best Buy will also feature their exclusives, and you can see the Blu-ray disc below:

Following the success of Heroes Rising, My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission is the franchise’s third film chapter. It represents a dramatic departure in the series’ plot, putting Deku in the perilous position of being depicted as a villain.

A secret terrorist organization known as the Humanize is introduced in the movie. They are adamant supporters of the “Quirk Singularity Doomsday Theory.” According to their belief, when future generations continue to mingle with the Quirk DNA, the power they possess would lead to humanity’s doom. Furthermore, Humanize regards Quirks as a disease and intends to “clear the earth” by exterminating anybody who possesses one.

Humanize installed “Ideo Trigger Bombs” in several nations. These bombs are supposed to cause a Quirk-user to lose control of their Quirk, resulting in widespread devastation. To defend and safeguard everyone, Pro-Heroes from throughout the world join forces with U.A. Academy heroes-in-training to foil the mystery group’s plans.

The film intends to expand on the My Hero Academia universe by featuring an international squad of heroes. New gear and clothing for the main three were also featured. On the shoulders of Midoriya, Bakugo, and Todoroki’s stealth suits is an embroidered symbol with the letters “W.H.A,” which most likely means “World Hero Association.” With the expected arrival of heroes and villains from all over the world, this appears to be MHA’s most expansive film yet, reaching out beyond Japan.

What are your thoughts? Were you able to see My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission when it first aired? Will you purchase the Blu-ray and DVD when they become available? How does it compare to the other two films? Let us know what you think about it in the comments!
