Arrow’s Oliver and Mia Queen return for DC’s Arrowverse crossover event in Earth-Prime: Hero’s Twilight #6 by writers Jeff Hersh and Thomas Pound.
The following contains spoilers for Earth-Prime: Hero’s Twilight #6, on sale now from DC Comics.
Two Arrow characters, Oliver and Mia Queen, make a grand return in DC’s Earth-Prime: Hero’s Twilight #6 Arrowverse event.
Earth-Prime: Hero’s Twilight #6 comes from writers Jeff Hersh and Thomas Pound, artist Will Robson, colorist Alex Sinclair and letterer Tom Napolitano. In the issue, Bart and Nora Allen are dealing with an oncoming attack from Magog, a major Superman villain who first appeared in DC’s Kingdom Come. Running around from city to city to deal with oncoming attacks and recruit Arrowverse to join in the fight, Bart and Nora are constantly being observed by a hooded figure throughout the course of the issue.
At the end of Earth-Prime: Hero’s Twilight #6, the figure takes off his hood and reveals himself to be Oliver Queen — no longer operating as Green Arrow, but now as the Spectre. Assisting from afar in the heroes’ final attack against Magog, the issue ends with Queen delivering a warning about further danger to come. “Changes are coming,” Queen says. “An unrest stirs in our reality. Cosmic forces are aligning…This trial only pales next to what will be expected of them. They must be ready for what’s coming.”
Earlier in the issue, Bart and Nora travel to Star City to deal with an attack from Evil Eye, who is working with Magog. Upon arriving, the two find Mia Queen — who has taken up the mantle of Green Arrow — fighting off enemies and doing what she can to defend the locale. After Magog makes her and a number of others mysteriously disappear throughout the course of Earth-Prime: Hero’s Twilight #6, she’s brought back for the final confrontation by Queen’s Spectre.
Oliver and Mia both starred in the CW’s Arrow, with Oliver being played by Stephen Amell and Mia by Katherine McNamara. Oliver Queen died during the massive Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event; although, Arrow ends with Felicity Smoak entering into the afterlife so the two can happily spend eternity together. The daughter of Oliver and Felicity, Mia’s final appearance prior to Earth-Prime: Hero’s Twilight #6 was also in 2021’s “Armageddon, Part 5” episode of The Flash.
Along with Oliver’s tease about more incoming danger, Earth-Prime: Hero’s Twilight #6 ends with a set-up for the new season of The Flash. The final moments of the issue reveal that Bloodwork has escaped imprisonment and is now on the loose. “To be continued in Season 9 of The Flash,” the comic reveals.
Earth-Prime: Hero’s Twilight #6 features cover art by Kim Jacinto and variant cover art by Bryan Hitch and Hi-Fi. The issue is on sale now from DC.
