‘Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie’ Releases PV, Main Cast Revealed

The long-awaited romantic comedy Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie by Keigo Maki released the TV anime’s promotional video (PV) on February 5, 2022. The PV was uploaded to the anime’s official website. In just a few hours, the PV was flooded with comments from excited fans.

The anime will premiere this April 9th at 14:00 (JST) at the following networks: Asahi Broadcasting, TV Asahi, and a whole lot more. Crunchyroll will be streaming the anime as well. 

The PV confirmed the following voice actors as the main cast: Saori Onishi as Shikimori, Shuichiro Umeda as Izumi, Misato Matsuoka as Nekozaki, Rina Hidaka as Hachimitsu, and Nobuhiko Okamoto as Inuzaka. 

Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie stars high school students Izumi, a boy who attracts misfortune, and Shikimori, the ideal girl with a “cool” side. The romantic comedy follows the high school life of these two students. Izumi’s life turns around as soon as he starts dating the perfect Shikimori. She’s beautiful, smart, cute- she’s the best. However, her “handsome” side comes out whenever Izumi is caught in a pinch. 

Keigo Maki’s Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie manga currently has 11 volumes, with the 1st released in February 2019. The manga is serialized on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket. It is also licensed in North America under Kodansha USA.
