Unfortunately, the Technoroid Overmind anime is delayed, which is sad news for anime fans. The announcement was released on the series’ official website, which also said that the delay was due to the fast spread of COVID-19 among in-house members of staff.
Earlier this month, the animation studio Doga Kobo, which is producing the film, verified similar news.
The studio reported that it was closed from April 6 to April 17, 2022, to contain the spread of COVID-19 among in-house employees and to deep clean the office. During this period, no staff was permitted to enter the office.
Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie, an anime series, was also rumored to be experiencing delays. For the time being, Technoroid Overmind is the only anime project where Studio Doga Kobo has officially enacted a delay.
The Technoroid Ovemind anime series’ production team has stated that the series premiere date has been pushed back to July 2022, the Summer 2022 anime season.
A new broadcast time is now being explored, according to the production committee, and will be published once finalized.
The forthcoming anime series will be directed by Imu Gahi.
Technoroid Overmind is set in a future where Androids and robots do tasks that humans are incapable of, including keeping humans engaged.
Four ownerless androids fight their way to the top of Babel, an entertainment tower, to challenge the reigning champions.
The series composer is Ayumi Sekine, while the character designs are handled by Saori Sakiguchi.
Due to rising temperatures, the governing World Government encourages the employment of robots and androids for work in Technoroid Overmind, which takes place in a climate change-affected world.
The amusement tower of Babel is also an important part of this scene. The Climbing Stage is one of Babel’s attractions, where people compete in song and dance to reach the top.
Cobalt, Chrom, Kei, and Neon are the primary protagonists of the narrative. They are androids that spend their days going through the same routine in an abandoned and forgotten house, unclear of why they are there or why they were made in the first place.
After a fortuitous encounter with a specific lad, however, things change, and the four find themselves attempting to dethrone Babel’s champion, STAND-ALONE.
Im Ga-Hee, who helmed Sonny Boy’s fourth episode, is on the Technoroid Overmind team. Other members of the team include supervisor Ai Yoshimura (Ao Haru Ride), series composer Ayumi Sekine (The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window), and original character designer LAM.
Character designs are done by Saori Sakiguchi (number24). The music composers are Elements Garden and RUCCA. LOGIC&MAGIC is in charge of the CG.
