The Boys Reveals Herogasm Was Founded by a Shocking Pair of Supes

“Herogasm,” the latest episode of The Boys Season 3, reveals the two surprising supes who hosted the original version of the Prime Video show’s party.

WARNING: The following article contains spoilers for The Boys Season 3, Episode 6, “Herogasm,” which released Friday on Prime Video.

The latest episode of The Boys Season 3, “Herogasm,” reveals the surprising two supes who founded the titular orgy: Soldier Boy and Stormfront.

While scoping out the TNT Twins’ mansion, Soldier Boy tells Hughie Campbell and Billy Butcher that he co-founded the event in 1952 with Liberty. The former leader of Payback doesn’t provide any indication he knows Liberty was an alias of Klara Risinger/Stormfront, though he does call her a “firecracker.” Elsewhere in the episode, it’s revealed this particular Herogasm is the 70th anniversary, which squares with Soldier Boy’s timeline.

Introduced in The Boys Season 2, Stormfront was the former wife of Vought International founder Frederick Vought. Stormfront was a Nazi who wanted to work with Homelander to create a master race. However, she died earlier in Season 3 after biting off her own tongue while recovering from wounds inflicted in the Season 2 finale.

In 2020, Eric Kripke, who created Prime Video’s The Boys, teased the show delving into how Soldier Boy and Stormfront’s histories intersect. This may be what he was talking about. It’s not clear at this time if future episodes will flesh their relationship out more.

Based on the comic book series of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, The Boys sees the titular team, led by Billy Butcher, workings against Vought International, the corrupt organization behind the creation of superheroes. The Prime Video series changes a fair bit from the source material, including Payback, the team which Soldier Boy used to lead. In the comics, Stormfront — who is male — is a key member of Payback and one of the group’s co-leaders.

Adapted from the limited series of the same name by Ennis, John McCrea and Keith Burns, “Herogasm” was one of The Boys Season 3’s most anticipated episodes. Kripke said in 2021 that he doesn’t believe there will be any topping “Herogasm,” which is a raunchy orgy for superheroes. Additionally, Jensen Ackles, who plays Soldier Boy, noted earlier this year that the production crew on the episode “look traumatized” during work on the entry.

New episodes of The Boys Season 3 release Fridays on Prime Video. The next episode of the series, “Here Comes a Candle to Light You to Bed,” releases July 1.
