In July 2020 it was announced that The Violence Action would receive a live-action adaptation. In Februrary 2022 it was confirmed The Violence Action would be receiving a live-action movie set to premiere on August 19, 2022.
Toichiro Ruto will direct the film and has co-written the movie’s screenplay with Itaru Era.
On June 3, 2022 a new trailer for the film began streaming on its official website and previews the film’s theme song titled Crush and sung by the Japanese rock band Alexandros. In 2018, Alexandros’ song titled Mosquito Bite was used as the theme for the live-action film adaptation of the anime Bleach.
The story centers on a seemingly normal high school student named Kei Kikuno, who attends a vocational school. But Kei’s part-time job is as wild as her bubble-gum pink hair – she’s a contract killer.

The Violence Action is a Japanese manga series written by Shin Sawada and illustrated by Renji Asai. Since April 25, 2016 the manga has been serialized on Shogakukan’s Yawaraka Spirits website.
In 2018 The Violence Action ranked on the top 20 list of manga for male readers in the edition of Takarajimasha’s Kono Manga ga Sugoi! guidebook. Manga illustrator Renji Asai drew a manga adaptation of Mamoru Hosoda’s The Boy and The Beast anime film and Yen Press released the series in English in North America.
In March 2018 the manga went on hiatus due to one of the author’s poor health and resumed in June 2019. The manga has been collected into six tankobon volumes by Shogakukan. On March 10, 2017 the first volume was released.
