‘The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting’ Reveals 5 More Cast Members

On Tuesday, the Japanese manga series The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting by Tsukiya released five more cast members for the upcoming TV anime. The announcement was made on the TV anime’s official website. 

The five new cast members introduced are the following: Kaito Ishikawa as Kei Sugihara, Ryota Takeuchi as Kazuhiko Sakuragi, Mai Nakahara as Miyuki Sakuragi, Misa Kobayashi as Kanami Kurosaki, and Tomoaki Maeno as Touichiro Aoi. 

In previous news, the main cast members were already introduced. The seinen manga stars Tooru Kirishima, an infamous yakuza, and Yaeka Sakuragi, an adorable young girl. Kirishima will be played by Yoshimasa Hosoya, while Sakuragi by Misaki Watada. 

The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting is about the cute adventures of a ruthless yakuza interacting with a young child. Kirishima is assigned to babysit the Sakuragi Clan’s only daughter, Yaeka. You can already imagine what kind of interactions these two polar opposite individuals will have. 

A few weeks ago, the anime released its 1st promotional video (PV) online. You can watch the video below: 

The recently revealed cast members shared a few comments with a short interview with Comic Natalie. The majority of them said how excited they were to be working on the anime project and couldn’t wait for everyone to watch it. A lot of the voice actors have read the original manga and gushed about how heartwarming the story of Tsukiya is. 

The upcoming anime will air sometime this year, with the exact date still to be confirmed.
