‘Toradora’ Celebrates Its 15th Anniversary With A Special Trailer

Can you believe it’s been 15 years since the show was first aired on television? The fan-favorite Toradora series is celebrating its 15th anniversary with a special trailer and words from the cast and staff members. This anniversary project came out with a special logo and a tiger on top of it which serves as the symbol of the series and the fact it’s the year of the tiger.

This special trailer video includes some of the best scenes from the show and voice lines from the anime cast:

Rie Kugimiya, the voice actor for Taiga Aisaka, commented on the Toradora 15th Anniversary project saying:
Congratulations on the 15th anniversary of Toradora!
As an actor, I feel truly blessed to have worked on such a wonderful project. I cried, laughed, got angry, and got hurt.
Each event in the story is so vividly colored that it still glitters like a treasure in my mind.
I hope that many people will continue to enjoy it!

Junji Majima, the voice actor for Ryuuji Takasu, also spoke up about the celebration:
Congratulations on the 15th anniversary! Thankfully, I’m still following Toradora and I’m always reminded of how many people loved this work. I’m happy to have been involved in this work that has become one of my favorites.

Yui Horie, the voice actor for Minori Kushieda also commented, saying that she sees “Toradora as the work of her youth” while also congratulating the series on the achievement. Hirofumi Nojima (Yusaku Kitamura) said that he feels like only a few years have passed since he recorded the voice lines and that Yusaku’s character greatly influenced his career. Nojima says that he gladly recommends Toradora to everyone and that it is a work that can still be enjoyed even 15 years after the original broadcast.

Eri Kitamura, the voice actor for Ami Kawashima, said that the show allowed her to grow as a voice actor and gain experience. She thanked the staff for letting her grow by allowing her to redo the lines. She is amazed by how much time has gone by but also filled with gratitude.

Tatsuya Nagai, the director of the Toradora anime adaptation, congratulated the staff and cast members on the 15th anniversary as

Congratulations on the 15th anniversary of Toradora!
The reason I’m still doing this job is that I was able to work on this project I can’t thank Mr. Takemiya enough for entrusting me with such important work when I was even more of a nobody than I am now. At the time, I must have been so anxious… I
think I was always falling all over myself to figure out how to convey the charm of the characters during production. We were blessed with a great staff, and it was a really good experience to be able to keep working until the final episode! Thank you, Toradora!

Mari Okada who did the series composition and wrote scripts for multiple episodes expressed her appreciation for the series:

Congratulations on the 15th anniversary, Toradora! We were already in our thirties, but we were just as immature in a [teen way] as Taiga Ryuji and the others. Even now, in my mid-forties, I still sing “Pre-Parade” when I go to karaoke and mutter Minori’s lines when I eat French fries, and Toradora! Toradora! I’m going to keep on loving it!

Toradora anime series is based on a light novel written by Takemiya Yuyuko and illustrated by Yasu, the light novel was published from 2006 to 2009 in the Dengeki Bunko imprint, the anime series is animated by J.C.Staff in 2008 with 25 episodes in total.
